The BigNut 5 is the standard-height counterpart to the BigNut 5 Tall - the same generous firebox, the same cast iron build, the same 5kW output, without the log store base. At 560mm tall it sits in a conventional stove footprint, which makes it the natural choice when the installation doesn't call for the elevated height of the Tall version but the firebox capacity is still the priority. And that firebox capacity is the point - 370mm log length in a 5kW stove is genuinely unusual, and it changes the daily experience of using the stove in a way that output figures alone don't capture.

Longer logs mean less time splitting, less preparation before each session, and longer burns between refuels. The cast iron construction at 90kg does what cast iron does best - stores heat during the burn and releases it steadily into the room long after the fire has settled, maintaining an even ambient temperature rather than peaking sharply and dropping away. The large viewing window gives a wide, unobstructed view of the flames, and the airwash system keeps the glass clear throughout rather than allowing it to darken mid-session. Top or rear flue outlet options cover most chimney configurations without specialist adaptation.

5kW at 80% efficiency, DEFRA approved for any UK smoke control area, and SIA EcoDesign 2022 Ready. A 12mm non-combustible hearth is sufficient beneath it, and a 5-year manufacturer's warranty applies on registration.
