The Peanut 3 is the smallest stove in the Saltfire range and one of the most capable compact stoves available. Originally conceived as a 3kW model - hence the name - it was refined during development to deliver 4.7kW at 82.7% efficiency, which means it punches considerably above its size in both output and credentials. At 348mm wide and 480mm tall, it fits chimney openings under 16" wide that would rule out virtually every other stove on the market, and its compact footprint makes it a genuine solution for boats, cabins, shepherd's huts, and rooms with genuinely restrictive installations.

The cast iron construction retains heat effectively even during slow, low burns - which matters in a small stove where the temptation to run it hard is high. The ceramic glass viewing window at 231x243mm is generous relative to the overall size of the stove, and the airwash system minimises soot build-up on the glass so the flame view stays clear throughout the session. External air compatibility future-proofs it for modern airtight builds where passive air supply to the firebox is a consideration, and the 4" top or rear flue outlet covers most installation configurations without adaptation.

EcoDesign 2022 Ready, ClearSkies 5 certified, and DEFRA Exempt - it carries the full set of credentials for installations in smoke control areas and eco-conscious builds. An optional stainless steel cooking plate adds cook-top functionality for anyone who wants it, a 12mm non-combustible hearth is sufficient beneath it, and a 5-year manufacturer's guarantee applies on registration.
