The Scout is the standard-height counterpart to the Scout Tall - same 4.1kW output, same multi-fuel capability, same clean-burn credentials, same pre-fitted heat shields that bring rear clearance to combustible walls down to 100mm. At 379mm wide and 485mm tall and weighing just 50kg, it's one of the more compact and lightweight options in the Saltfire range, which makes it a natural fit for smaller living spaces, cabins, boats, and any installation where a modest, unobtrusive heat source is what's needed rather than a statement piece.

The steel body with cast iron door and fire-brick lining gives it better heat retention than a bare steel stove, and the clean-burn afterburner system re-ignites unburned gases to improve combustion efficiency and reduce emissions across both wood and smokeless fuel. The advanced airwash system keeps the viewing glass clear during the burn, a removable baffle provides straightforward flue access for cleaning, and the ash pan lifts out cleanly. Direct Air compatibility via an optional kit makes it suitable for modern airtight new builds where passive combustion air supply isn't sufficient - a practical future-proofing feature for a stove likely to end up in exactly those environments.
