The ST-X5 Tall is the 5kW, log-store format entry point to the ST-X range - a compact multi-fuel stove elevated on a built-in log store base that raises the firebox to a comfortable viewing height and keeps fuel organised directly beneath the combustion chamber. At 82% efficiency and an A+ energy rating, it's the most efficient stove in the ST-X lineup, which means the 5kW output it delivers is extracted from the fuel more completely than most stoves at the same nominal figure.

The portrait viewing window at 297x310mm gives a generous, focused view of the flames, and the airwash system keeps it clear throughout the burn. The afterburner clean-burn system re-ignites unburned gases before they reach the flue, improving combustion completeness and reducing emissions — which is what earns it the EcoDesign 2022 Ready and DEFRA Exempt credentials for use in any UK smoke control area. The multi-fuel grate handles both seasoned wood logs and approved smokeless coal without modification, the removable baffle plate provides straightforward flue access for cleaning, and the lift-out ash pan keeps ash disposal quick.
