The ST-X8 is the standard-height version of Saltfire's 8kW multi-fuel stove - the same powerful clean-burn performance as the ST-X8 Tall without the log store base, brought down to 664mm tall for installations where a conventional stove height is the right fit. At 8kW it covers medium to large rooms that a 5kW stove can't keep up with, and the afterburner system ensures that output is extracted efficiently from every piece of fuel rather than lost up the flue as unburned gases.

The portrait thermo-ceramic glass window gives the ST-X8 its visual character - a tall, focused flame view that feels more considered than the wide panoramic format of the ST-X Wide range, and one that the airwash system keeps clear throughout a long burn. The steel body with cast iron door and fire-brick lining provides the structural and thermal integrity the output demands, and the multi-fuel grate transitions between seasoned wood logs and approved smokeless coal without modification. Logs up to 360mm fit without additional splitting, the removable baffle plate makes flue access straightforward, and the lift-out ash pan keeps cleanup quick between sessions. Air controls are intuitive enough that adjusting the burn rate to suit the room or the fuel doesn't require careful management every time the stove is loaded.

At 515mm wide and 416mm deep with clearance requirements of 700mm to sides and 800mm to rear, installation planning should account for the footprint this output level demands. 80.5% efficiency, EcoDesign 2022 Ready, DEFRA Exempt, top or rear 125mm flue outlet, and a 1-year warranty extendable to 5 years on registration.
