At 8kW it's built for medium to large living areas where a 5kW stove runs continuously without ever quite keeping up, and the afterburner clean-burn system ensures that output is delivered efficiently rather than just thrown at the room as raw heat.

The portrait-format viewing window framed in thermo-ceramic glass is a visual signature of the ST-X8 range - a tall, narrow frame that gives a different quality of flame view to the panoramic wide-format stoves, more focused and architectural.
