The Isokern 950 sits in the middle of Schiedel's outdoor fireplace range - smaller in footprint than the 1200, but no less serious in construction or performance. A 990mm wide firebox opening, natural Icelandic volcanic pumice throughout, and the same modular build system that makes the larger models so dependable. For gardens and entertaining spaces where the 1200 would dominate rather than anchor, the 950 hits the sweet spot between presence and proportion.

The pumice construction delivers everything it always does - fast heat-up, exceptional retention, a cool outer surface regardless of what's happening inside the firebox, and a natural resistance to the condensation and soot build-up that affects lesser materials. The modular system adds further flexibility: height is customisable with additional 250mm chimney blocks, so the finished structure can be specified to suit the space rather than working around a fixed dimension. The log storage compartments, where fitted, add 320mm to the overall height and integrate seamlessly into the base of the structure.

Delivered as a complete kit - chimney blocks, firebricks, lip glue, mortar, and render included - and straightforward to assemble thanks to lightweight pumice components and clear instructions. Installation options cover freestanding, wall-backed, or raised plinth configurations, and a minimum 100mm reinforced concrete slab is required as a foundation. Optional extras include a BBQ grill, rain cap, wave top terminal, additional chimney blocks, and a matching log store for a fully specified outdoor fire feature.
